Bellevue PD warns of jewelry thieves back in town

Bellevue, WALocal News

Bellevue police have issued a warning to residents regarding the return of jewelry thieves who have reemerged in the community. The warning follows a series of thefts that took place on September 17, where victims were approached by three women in vehicles, either a red or gray sedan or a gray SUV. The first incident occurred around 2:45 p. m. when a woman waiting at a school bus stop had her gold necklace stolen.

Shortly after, another woman reported that three suspects demanded her jewelry while she was out for a walk, but she had none to give. A third victim was not as fortunate; she was physically restrained while her jewelry was taken from her. Bellevue police confirmed that while none of the victims suffered serious injuries, the crimes were alarming and left many shaken. Authorities are urging residents to be cautious and aware of their surroundings, especially when approached by strangers. Detectives are actively investigating these incidents in hopes of apprehending the suspects responsible for these brazen thefts.
