This initiative follows the Bellevue City Council's March decision to develop a candidate profile based on community feedback regarding desired skills and leadership qualities.

The council subsequently adopted this profile in May to ensure a transparent interview process. The public forums are scheduled for September, with livestream options available for broader access. Bellevue's approach highlights its dedication to engaging residents in governance and fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
