Bellevue and its neighboring Eastside cities will celebrate Welcoming Week from September 13-22, 2024, emphasizing the importance of inclusion and community connection among diverse residents. This annual event, recognized nationally, has been celebrated in East King County since 2016, involving local nonprofits, city officials, and community organizations in its planning and execution. The Bellevue Diversity Advisory Network will cohost a resource fair on September 21 at Crossroads Bellevue shopping mall, offering valuable resources for workforce and business assistance. Furthermore, on September 20, a workshop titled "Beyond Engagement: Leading Together in Communities" will be held, allowing attendees to learn about cross-cultural community engagement practices. The mayors of Bellevue, Issaquah, Kirkland, Redmond, and Sammamish will issue a joint proclamation, inviting residents to connect and participate in the events.
