The City of Austin has officially entered into a Sister Cities Agreement with Limerick, Ireland, to promote collaboration across education, culture, business, and innovation. Mayor Watson highlighted the agreement as a significant step in Austin's global outreach, providing opportunities for cultural exchange and shared innovation. Mayor Moran expressed enthusiasm for deepening connections and fostering mutual growth. The agreement includes commitments in business development, tourism, and urban planning, emphasizing the importance of direct communication through annual meetings.

With this partnership, Austin now has 13 Sister Cities and 2 Friendship Cities, reflecting its commitment to building a more interconnected global community through the Austin Sister Cities Program.
