Auburn School District - Auburn Examiner
The Auburn School District (ASD) serves the educational needs of K-12 students in Auburn, Algona, Pacific, and parts of Kent, comprising 14 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, and 3 comprehensive high schools. A new building for Olympic Middle School is currently under construction, with an additional elementary school planned to break ground in April 2019. Superintendent Dr. Alan Spicciati recently communicated significant accomplishments in his winter message, highlighting that five ASD elementary schools ranked in the top 100 in the Puget Sound region. Furthermore, Gildo Rey Elementary received a National ESEA Distinguished School Award for exceptional academic performance over the last three years.
The ASD Board of Directors has also earned recognition as a Board of Distinction from the Washington State School Directors Association. With a strong focus on student success, the district aims to achieve a 100% graduation rate, offering various support systems for students at all educational levels. Families are encouraged to engage with the district's ongoing initiatives and stay updated on progress. For more information, the district can be contacted at (253) 931-4900 or through their website.
