AAA Reports Early Holiday Travel Plans Among Georgians

Atlanta, GALocal News

According to a new survey by the American Automobile Association, Georgians are already gearing up for their holiday travel plans, even though the summer travel season has just ended. The survey found that nearly two-thirds, or 64%, of residents intend to take an overnight vacation between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day. This early enthusiasm for holiday travel is reflected in the fact that over a third of Georgians, about 40%, typically start booking their trips before September. This proactive travel planning is indicative of a growing trend among families looking to secure their holiday arrangements ahead of time. The survey results suggest that local residents are eager to make the most of their holiday season, likely influenced by factors such as travel deals and availability.

As the year progresses, the demand for travel-related services is expected to increase, impacting local businesses and the tourism sector. The findings not only highlight the importance of holiday travel for Georgians but also set the stage for potential traffic and travel-related challenges as the holidays approach. Overall, this early booking trend signals a vibrant travel season ahead for the state.
