Heritage, Stillaguamish partner on new Angel of the Winds distillery

Arlington, WALocal News

A new tasting room at Angel of the Winds Casino Resort has officially opened, thanks to a partnership between Heritage Distilleries and the Stillaguamish Tribe. This establishment features an extensive selection of whiskeys and mixed drinks, enhancing the casino's offerings alongside its existing brewery and restaurants. Notably, it is the first distillery located in a casino in the Pacific Northwest, a development made possible by a 2018 federal law change that allowed tribes to distill alcohol on their land. Stillaguamish Tribal Chair Eric White highlighted the potential for this venture to create new economic opportunities for both the tribe and casino patrons. The tasting room provides a modern and comfortable atmosphere, with a layout similar to other Heritage tasting rooms across the western United States.

Membership in the “cask club” allows customers to create their own spirit blend, enhancing the unique experiences offered. Casino CEO Travis O'Neil emphasized that Angel of the Winds aims to provide more than just gambling, incorporating diverse entertainment options for visitors. This collaboration reflects an innovative approach to combining cultural heritage with modern business practices in the tribal gaming industry.
