Gallery to feature Currier, Schreivogl
Scott Milo Gallery is set to host a reception on February 7 for featured artists Alfred Currier and Anne Schreivogl, showcasing their unique artistic visions. Currier's vibrant oil paintings portray the picturesque flower fields of Skagit Valley and the narratives of migrant farm workers, while also including sunset scenes and smaller works from his plein air painting trip in California. In contrast, Schreivogl's artwork features whimsical motifs centered around themes like beloved books, birds, and bicycles, as well as ten oil landscapes of local scenery, including Guemes Channel and Old Town. The gallery will also present a selection of regional jewelry, glass art, and custom furniture, promoting local craftsmanship. This reception is part of the February Artwalk, a significant event aimed at bringing the community together through the arts.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with the artists and gain insight into their creative processes. This event not only highlights the talent within the local art community but also fosters a deeper appreciation for the cultural richness of the region. With a celebration of creativity and community spirit, the evening promises to be a memorable experience for all art enthusiasts.
